LONDON, March 30 (UPI) -- British newcomer Jamie Campbell-Bower says he has landed the key role of vampire leader Caius in "The Twilight Saga: New Moon."
The 20-year-old actor had small parts in the films "RockNRolla" and "Sweeney Todd," and is a cast member in the upcoming remake of the TV series "The Prisoner."
He told the BBC that being hired for the second big-screen adaptation in the series based on Stephenie Meyer's popular novels is "very exciting."
"You're the first people I've told," Campbell-Bower said. "Shooting has already started, and I'm going over (to the United States) in June."
"New Moon," which is being directed by Chris Weitz, is slated for theatrical release in November.
"Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are reprising their roles of vampire Edward and his human soul mate Bella in the follow up.
