NEW YORK, March 25 (UPI) -- Nickelodeon says it plans to honor Leonardo DiCaprio with its Big Green Help Award at its upcoming Kids' Choice Awards show in Los Angeles.

The TV network said it wants to recognize the "Titanic" star and environmental activist for his "significant and visible contribution toward helping the environment and for inspiring kids to do the same." DiCaprio's "Gangs of New York" co-star Cameron Diaz is to present him with the prize.

The awards show is slated to take place Saturday at Pauley Pavilion on the UCLA campus in Los Angeles.

Nickelodeon's 22nd annual Kids' Choice Awards -- featuring host Dwayne Johnson -- will honor kids' favorites from the worlds of film, music, sports and television.
