

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., March 25 (UPI) -- The 82nd annual Academy Awards ceremony in Los Angeles has been scheduled for March 7, 2010, organizers said Wednesday.
The announcement was made by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences President Sid Ganis.
The ceremony will again take place at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood, and be televised live by the ABC Television Network, Ganis said.
Nomination ballots will be mailed out Dec. 28, 2009, and are to be returned by Jan. 23, 2010.
Nominations are to be announced Feb. 2, 2010 at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater and final ballots are to be returned to the Academy by Feb. 10.
The 81st annual Academy Awards ceremony took place Feb. 22, 2009.
"Slumdog Millionaire" won the best picture prize and its director Danny Boyle the best director statuette. Sean Penn, Kate Winslet, the late Heath Ledger and Penelope Cruz won the night's top four acting awards.
