NEW YORK, March 24 (UPI) -- Singer-songwriter Rachael Yamagata has agreed to perform on the U.S. soap opera "One Life to Live," ABC announced.

Yamagata, who is on the spring leg of her concert tour, will be seen April 2 performing her single "Elephants" from her second album, "Elephants ... Teeth Sinking into Heart."

"We first became aware of Rachael's enormous talent when we used her song 'I'll Find a Way' in 2005," executive producer Frank Valentini said in a statement. "Her soulful storytelling through her music, combined with the emotional journeys of our characters, create the perfect marriage."

ABC said Yamagata will take the stage at Llanview's local nightclub, Capricorn, where such "One Life to Live" characters as Dorian, Todd and Tea have gathered.

Other acts to have appeared on the show include The Plain White T's and Puddle Of Mudd. The roster also includes a two-day appearance by Snoop Dogg, two appearances by Mary J. Blige and artists such as Timbaland with Keri Hilson and One Republic, Nelly Furtado, Lifehouse, Simply Red, Chris Botti and Erykah Badu.
