Lohan wants to return to the big screen

LOS ANGELES, March 21 (UPI) -- Lindsay Lohan says she would like to revive her faltering Hollywood acting career.

The "Mean Girls" actress said in a recent magazine interview that she has struggled to find work since her starring role in the 2007 movie "I Know Who Killed Me," the Chicago Tribune reported Saturday.

"It's scary when you realize, 'Oh my God, I'm not working. And I have a house to pay for now,'" Lohan said.

Lohan, whose credits also include "Just My Luck" and "Freaky Friday," admitted to losing out on a part in director Tim Burton's upcoming take on "Alice in Wonderland."

The 22-year-old actress also told Nylon magazine she has been attempting to line up roles with actors Sean Penn and Seth Rogan.

Lohan admitted that if she was able to choose what work would come her way, she would focus on modeling.

"I love doing photo shoots," she said. "I mean, if I could just sign with IMG and do ad campaigns and model more, I'd do that … because that's fun for me. That's not work."
