NEW YORK, March 20 (UPI) -- A manager of hip-hop acts is suing Louis Vuitton after a fixture at its Manhattan store allegedly fell and hit him in the head at Kanye West's birthday party.

The New York Post said Friday that Steve Lobel -- manager of acts such as Bone Thugs-n-Harmony and Nipsey Hussle -- filed his lawsuit against Louis Vuitton and the party's promoter in Queens Supreme Court last month.

The alleged incident happened at the Louis Vuitton store on East 57th Street store, which had been decorated to make it look more like a club.

The Post said Louis Vuitton's representatives didn't immediately return a phone call seeking comment on the lawsuit.

The newspaper didn't say what damages Lobel is seeking or when the party took place.

West turned 31 last June.
