LOS ANGELES, March 14 (UPI) -- Chris Brown has not recorded a duet with his girlfriend, Rihanna, since he allegedly assaulted her in Los Angeles last month, a source says.
An unidentified source said despite recent reports the recording never took place, the New York Daily News reported Friday. Brown, 19, is accused of beating Rihanna, 21, Feb. 8, forcing her to cancel her scheduled performance at the 2009 Grammy Awards.
"Contrary to published reports, Chris Brown and Rihanna did not record a duet after the incident," the source said.
"Nothing has been recorded by Chris and Rihanna since February."
The anonymous source said Brown and Rihanna, whose full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, did record vocals last year for a demo Brown was working on with producer Polow da Don, the BBC reported.
But those 2008 recordings were never intended to be used as a featured duet between the two star singers, the source said.
