SANTA MONICA, Calif., March 10 (UPI) -- Singers Rihanna and Chris Brown have been working together at a Santa Monica, Calif., recording studio, a source at the studio said.

Brown, 19, was arrested Feb. 8 and subsequently charged with two felonies for allegedly beating up Rihanna, his 21-year-old girlfriend. He is to be arraigned in a Los Angeles court next month.

Brown has publicly apologized and the briefly estranged couple reportedly have since reconciled.

A studio insider told E! News the on-again couple are collaborating on a duet that Brown hopes to include on the album he is scheduled to release later this year.

Record producer Polow Da Don is said to have been working with the singers on the project for the past several days.

E! News said Rihanna's and Brown's publicists have not replied to its requests for comments on its story.
