Nickelback announces summer tour dates

LOS ANGELES, March 6 (UPI) -- The rock band Nickelback has announced dates for its North American summer tour in support of its latest album, "Dark Horse."

The summer leg of the 2009 tour is set to roll through Live Nation outdoor amphitheaters, beginning July 10 in Darien Lake, N.Y., at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center, with Hinder, Papa Roach and Saving Abel in support. The summer leg of the tour is expected to wrap up Sept. 9 in Albuquerque, N.M.

Tickets for the summer concerts are slated to go on sale March 13.

Nickelback is currently on a 32-city tour, selling out arenas across the United States, Live Nation said.
