Smith to direct Willis, Morgan in 'Cops'

"Zack and Miri Make a Porno" premieres in Los Angeles

LOS ANGELES, March 5 (UPI) -- U.S. film director Kevin Smith is set to direct Bruce Willis and Tracy Morgan in the big-screen comedy "A Couple of Cops," Variety.com reported.

The Warner Bros. movie marks Smith's first major studio project.

The director is best known for his films "Clerks," "Chasing Amy," "Mallrats," "Dogma" and "Zack and Miri Make a Porno."

Variety.com said Robb and Marc Cullen wrote the screenplay for "Cops," a movie about a pair of detectives who have to deal with gangsters while trying to recover a stolen baseball card.
