SANTA BARBARA, Calif., March 2 (UPI) -- Former television personality Gary Collins Monday pleaded no contest to driving under the influence in Santa Barbara County, Calif.
The charge stems from his Jan. 31 arrest for allegedly driving a motor home while his blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit. This is his third DUI arrest.
People magazine said the 70-year-old former host of "The New Hollywood Squares" was sentenced Monday to four months in county jail, but was advised he may apply for home detention and electronic monitoring.
If he doesn't qualify for the home detention program, however, he will be required to report to jail by June 2 to begin serving his sentence.
After he is no longer incarcerated, Collins will be placed on three years probation, during which time his driver's license will be suspended, People.com said.
The magazine said Collins' publicist wasn't immediately available to comment on its story.
