MIAMI BEACH, Fla., March 1 (UPI) -- Ronald Fenty, father of pop singer Rihanna, says he supports his daughter's apparent decision to reconcile with her boyfriend, U.S. singer Chris Brown.

Fenty said while he has not seen his daughter since early February, he has come to terms with reports his 21-year-old daughter is spending time with Brown, 19, in Miami Beach, Fla., in the wake of relationship abuse allegations, People.com reported Saturday.

"Whatever road she chooses, I'm behind her," Fenty said. "We are a family who stick together even though we are apart."

Brown was accused of assaulting Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Fenty, on Feb. 8.

Meanwhile, an unidentified source said Brown is happy to be reunited with Rihanna.

"While Chris is reflective and saddened about what happened, he is really happy to be with the woman he loves," the source told People.

A Miami source said the celebrity couple are "working through their issues" at music producer Sean "Diddy" Combs's Miami Beach home.

"They feel like staying in and working through their issues," the anonymous source said. "So far they have not wanted to go out."
