LOS ANGELES, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Fox has hired Don Reo to be executive producer and showrunner of its sit-com "'Til Death," which was picked up for a fourth season, The Hollywood Reporter said.

The third run of episodes wrapped last month.

Reo is a longtime comedy writer who previously worked for the late, great Jackie Gleason, and who also was the co-creator and executive producer on the sit-com, "My Wife and Kids."

He is expected to oversee the day-to-day operations next season on "Death," which stars Brad Garrett, Joely Fisher and J.B. Smoove.

The Hollywood Reporter said Reo hasn't begun to outline the fourth season yet, but it quoted him as saying he plans to continue to "exploit the talent that's there and play on (the trio's) strengths."
