LOS ANGELES, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Hollywood couple Megan Fox and Brian Austin Green have ended their engagement, a source told Us Weekly.

The pair met in 2004 and two years later announced plans to wed.

"The relationship had run its course," an insider said. "It's completely amicable, and they are remaining friends."

Fox, 22, is known for her role in "Transformers," while Green, 35, has starred on TV's "Beverly Hills, 90210" and "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles."

The source close to the former couple told Us Weekly they are both "focusing on their careers" at the moment.
