TORONTO, Feb. 23 (UPI) -- Sci Fi Channel says it has begun production in Toronto on its newest original series "Warehouse 13."

The one-hour dramedy series will star Eddie McClintock from "Bones" and "Desperate Housewives;" Joanne Kelly from "The Dresden Files" and "Vanished;" and Saul Rubinek from "Blind Justice" and "Frasier."

The new show from Universal Cable Productions is to premiere in July 2009 with 11 episodes, including the previously produced two-hour pilot.

"After saving the life of the president, two Secret Service agents find themselves abruptly transferred to Warehouse 13 -- a massive, top-secret storage facility in windswept South Dakota, which houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and supernatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. government," Sci Fi said in a news release. "The warehouse's caretaker Artie (Rubinek) charges Pete (McClintock) and Myka (Kelly) with chasing down reports of supernatural and paranormal activity in search of new objects to cache at the Warehouse, as well as helping him to control the warehouse itself."
