COSTA MESA, Calif., Feb. 22 (UPI) -- Police in Costa Mesa, Calif., say they have arrested Slade Smiley, who appeared on the TV series "Real Housewives of Orange County," on a $10,000 warrant.
Lt. Clay Epperson said Smiley, 38, is facing a civil contempt charge, The Orange County (Calif.) Register reported Saturday.
Details regarding the warrant used in Friday's arrest were not released, but civil contempt typically involves missing payments for court fees such as child support costs, the newspaper said.
Smiley was booked into Orange County jail following his arrest.
In addition to appearing on the Bravo network's "Real Housewives," Smiley starred alongside his former girlfriend, Jo De La Rosa, on the Bravo original series "Date My Ex: Jo and Slade."
