Sandra Bullock booked for 'Blindside'

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Sandra Bullock has signed on to star in a big-screen adaptation of Michael Lewis' book, "The Blind Side: Evolution of the Game," Variety.com said.

"My Dog Skip" and "The Rookie" filmmaker John Lee Hancock is set to direct the football dramedy, "The Blindside," from a screenplay he wrote, based on Lewis' book.

Bullock's film credits include "Speed," "Hope Floats," "Miss Congeniality," "The Lake House," "Crash" and "Infamous."
