LOS ANGELES, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- British-born rapper M.I.A., who gave birth to her first child last week, is expected to attend, but not perform at Sunday's Oscar show, a source told E! News.

The 31-year-old recording artist is an Oscar nominee for her collaboration on the best original song contender "O Saya" from "Slumdog Millionaire."

M.I.A. famously performed at the Grammy Awards ceremony on her delivery due date Feb. 8.

"She's probably going to be at Oscars," a source told E! News. "So that means there will be two nominees, her and Peter Gabriel, in the audience watching other people perform their songs."

Gabriel reportedly declined to perform his Oscar-nominated song "Down to Earth" from the animated movie "Wall-E" because telecast producers wanted him to cut it from almost 6 minutes to 65 seconds, so it would fit in a planned best song nominee medley.
