Report: Usher's wife out of hospital

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Singer Usher's wife has left the Brazilian hospital where she has been recovering after suffering cardiac arrest prior to planned liposuction, E! News said.

Tameka Raymond, a 37-year-old mother of five, went to a plastic surgeon in Brazil for liposuction two months after the birth of her youngest son.

Raymond's doctor said she went into cardiac arrest while being anesthetized for the procedure. She was revived and placed in an induced coma for a day to avoid unnecessary complications, the doctor said.

Raymond was later transferred to Sao Paulo's Sirio-Libanes Hospital and was released Tuesday night after spending 11 days recuperating from the ordeal.

"She checked out yesterday," a spokesman for the hospital, speaking on condition of anonymity, told E! News Wednesday.

The entertainment news program added that it is unclear whether Raymond is still in Brazil or has headed home to the United States. Usher and Raymond haven't released any details about her condition to the media.
