SCOTTSDALE, Ariz., Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Music producer Suge Knight was attacked at a hotel in Scottsdale, Ariz., and fractured several bones in his face, police said.

TMZ reported Robert Carnes Jr., who is a member of rapper Akon's camp, has been arrested for felony aggravated assault in connection with the beating Knight received at the W Hotel early Monday. Knight reportedly was taken to a hospital and treated for his injuries, then released.

Akon was the host of a 944 Magazine All-Star Weekend wrap-up party at the W Sunday night.

TMZ said the alleged altercation between Knight and Carnes took place after the party ended and Akon had already left.
