Will Smith nervous about daughter dating
WAKEFIELD, England, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- A movie version is forthcoming about the life of Charles Bronson, dubbed Britain's most violent prisoner, filmmakers say.
Filmmakers said while Bronson, who has spent 30 of the past 34 years in solitary confinement, has been involved in the pre-production activities, he will not benefit financially from the movie, The Sunday Times of London reported. Instead, a portion of the proceeds will go to a charity of his choice.
Bronson, who was born Michael Peterson, has remained imprisoned in Wakefield far beyond his initial seven-year prison sentence for armed robbery because his repeated violence behind bars, including once holding his prison art teacher hostage for 44 hours.
The inmate, who is now being held on a discretionary life sentence, has reportedly written part of the movie's script and has been meeting with the actor set to play him.
Producer Rupert Preston told The Times the movie is not intended to support Bronson's release from jail.
