NEW YORK, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Pop star Madonna and her ex-husband, British director Guy Ritchie, want to finalize their child-custody agreement, New York court documents show.

The New York Daily News reported Saturday that the former celebrity couple filed papers with a Manhattan court to make their custody deal legal in the United States.

A British court officially divorced the "Material Girl" star and the "RocknRolla" director last month.

The two celebrities reached an agreement at the time regarding the shared custody of their two children, Rocco, 8, and David, 3.

The Daily News said the joint custody agreement states the two boys must remain kosher and attend synagogue twice a week whether staying with their mother or father.
