LOS ANGELES, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- The planned pilot spinoff for the popular U.S. TV series "NCIS" now has three new leads, industry sources say.

The Hollywood Reporter said Friday that Louise Lombard, Peter Cambor and Daniela Ruah have all been added to the CBS/CBS Par pilot to star as some of the series' lead naval investigators.

The current incarnation of "NCIS" follows a group of investigators as they solve homicides tied to the U.S. Navy.

The original "NCIS" will host the debut of the series spinoff this spring as the pilot will serve as a regular "NCIS" episode," the Reporter said.

Actor Chris O'Donnell, along with actor-rapper LL Cool J, are in negotiations to join the upcoming pilot.

The Reporter said Cambor previously appeared on the TV series "Notes From the Underbelly," while Lombard played Detective Sofia Curtis on the hit CBS series "CSI."
