LOS ANGELES, Feb. 11 (UPI) -- U.S. advertisers and radio stations say they're suspending dealings with singer Chris Brown until claims of abuse of singer-girlfriend Rihanna are resolved.

The "Got Milk" campaign featuring the 19-year-old R&B artist ends this week, while radio stations in Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Indianapolis pulled Brown's music in light of the allegations, ABC News reported Wednesday.

"The Milk Mustache campaign is taking the allegations against Chris Brown very seriously," the ad company said in a statement. "We are very proud and protective of the image of the Milk Mustache campaign and the responsible message it sends to teens."

Wrigley's announced Monday it would suspend its ad campaign featuring Brown as the Doublemint gum spokesman "until the matter is resolved."

Brown also pulled out of appearances during this weekend's NBA All-Star game, the NBA said.

Meanwhile, members of the music and acting world rallied around the singers.

"I was completely devastated by the concept of what I heard," rapper Kanye West said on Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show. "Rihanna is so important to our culture ... to pop music."

Actor Terrence Howard spoke in Brown's defense, telling Hollywood.tv, "Chris is a great guy. He'll be all right. And Rihanna knows he loves her."

Brown has been arrested, booked for suspicion of making criminal threats and released on $50,000 bail. His arraignment is scheduled for next month.
