LOS ANGELES, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Actor James Pickens Jr. says his co-stars Katherine Heigl and T.R. Knight are leaving the U.S. medical drama, "Grey's Anatomy."

Us Weekly said its reporter asked Pickens, who plays Dr. Richard Webber on the show, if Heigl is planning her exit from the series and Pickens replied: "Yes, she is. Wherever Katherine goes, I wish her nothing but the best."

Pressed to divulge whether Heigl's close friend Knight is also heading off the show, Pickens said: "He's going too. He just wanted to pursue other career paths."

Usmagazine.com said Heigl's and Knight's publicists declined to comment on the report.
