LAS VEGAS, Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Iconic Las Vegas entertainers Siegfried & Roy have agreed to allow ABC to interview them and tape their farewell performance for a special edition of "20/20."
Elizabeth Vargas is to anchor the one-hour ABC News program, "Siegfried & Roy: The Magic Returns," which is scheduled to air March 6 on the network.
"A one-night, one-time illusion, for one cause. Siegfried & Roy, whom no one expected to ever see onstage again, are coming back one last time for a night of magic from the Power of Love charity gala benefiting Keep Memory Alive, the foundation for the Lou Ruvo Brain Institute," ABC said in a news release.
Siegfried Fischbacher, 69, and Roy Horn, 64, began performing in Las Vegas some four decades ago. They agreed to a lifetime contract with The Mirage in 2001, but stopped performing onstage when Horn was seriously injured by a tiger during a show Oct. 3, 2003.
The performance is to take place Feb. 28 at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
