LOS ANGELES, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Movie-goers are into the romantic comedy "He's Just Not That Into You," making it the No. 1 movie in U.S. theaters this weekend, Box Office Mojo said Sunday.
Warner Bros.' star-studded movie, one of six new films to hit the theaters this weekend, raked in an estimated $27.47 million in gate receipts, pushing "Taken" down to No. 2 with $20.3 million. The 3-D animated movie "Coraline," featuring the voice of Dakota Fanning, was No. 3 with $16.34 million, followed by "The Pink Panther 2," starring Steve Martin, with $12 million.
Falling three spots to No. 5 was "Paul Blart: Mall Cop" with $11 million in estimated ticket sales, while another new show, "Push," a science fiction thriller that also starts Dakota Fanning, was No. 6 at $10.2 million.
Filling out the top tier were "Gran Torino" at $7.42 million, "Slumdog Millionaire" at $7.4 million, "The Uninvited" at $6.4 million and "Hotel for Dogs" with $5.82 million.
Gone from the Top 10 this week are "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans," "New in Town," "My Bloody Valentine 3-D" and "Inkheart."
