Geldof's daughter ending short marriage

LONDON, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Irish musician Bob Geldof's 19-year-old daughter Peaches is divorcing her husband of six months, the couple have revealed.

The BBC reported Sunday the daughter of the Live Aid organizer is splitting from Max Drummey in a friendly and mutually decided breakup.

"After much soul-searching we have made the mutual decision to end our marriage and have agreed to go our separate ways," the couple said in a joint statement.

"Our parting is amicable and both of us still respect and care about each other immensely."

The BBC said a spokeswoman for the younger Geldof said the 19-year-old would remain active in her various fashion and media projects, dividing her time between London and New York.
