LONDON, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- British classical composer Tarik O'Regan says he is interested in working with Hollywood heavyweights such as producer Jerry Bruckheimer.
O'Regan, who Bruckheimer has named as a possible collaborator on future movies, said he's attracted to Hollywood for creative and financial reasons, The Sunday Times of London reported.
"I would love to work with the studios," O'Regan said. "They use classical music quite imaginatively and, of course, the money is tempting. Or even writing music for a commercial -- that might be fun."
Bruckheimer is best known for his work on action films and as producer of the TV series "CSI."
The potential combination of a British classical music great with a noted U.S. producer comes as British artists are finding great success in the United States. The Times noted this year's Grammy nominees for record of the year are five British acts: Coldplay, rocker Robert Plant, rapper MIA, and singers Leona Lewis and Adele.
