NEW YORK, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Loretta Devine, known for her roles in "Boston Public" and other U.S. TV shows will be in the new NBC pilot "Legally Mad," industry sources say.
The Hollywood Reporter said Devine, who played teacher Marla Hendricks on "Boston Public," will have a supporting role in the new pilot, which is focused on a woman in her 20s who begins working at her father's law firm.
The pilot will reunite Devine with "Legally Mad" creator David E. Kelley, who created "Boston Public" and other former series such as "Picket Fences" and "The Practice."
Devine also had guest appearances on other Kelley hits such as "Ally McBeal" and "Boston Legal," the Reporter said.
The Reporter said actress Charity Wakefield will play the lead in the pilot, while actor Hugh Bonneville has been tabbed for the role of her father.
