LOS ANGELES, Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Hank Azaria's publicist has confirmed the U.S. actor and Katie Wright, his girlfriend of two years, are expecting their first child.

Azaria is known for his voice work on "The Simpsons;" his roles in TV's "Mad About You" and "Huff," and the films "The Birdcage" and "Great Expectations;" and his Tony-nominated performance in the Broadway musical "Spamalot." His latest movie "Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian" is scheduled to hit theaters in May.

"They're quite ecstatic," Azaria's publicist Stan Rosenfield told People magazine about the couple's reaction to their impending parenthood.

Rosenfeld told the celebrity publication Wright is in her second trimester and is expected to give birth to a boy.

Wright is a former actress, who reportedly is studying to be a family therapist.

Azaria was previously married to actress Helen Hunt.
