LOS ANGELES, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Patrick Swayze's publicist said the Hollywood actor is still undergoing treatment for pancreatic cancer, contrary to reports claiming he decided to stop.

"The reports are not true. Patrick is continuing his treatment," his representative Annett Wolf told People.com, referring to media stories alleging Swayze opted to stop because the treatment wasn't working.

The 56-year-old star of "Ghost" and "Dirty Dancing" has been battling the disease for about a year.

He recently filmed his new television drama "The Beast" while undergoing chemotherapy. Just as the show debuted earlier this month, the actor was hospitalized for pneumonia for a week.
