Chad Lowe's girlfriend pregnant

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 29 (UPI) -- Chad Lowe's publicist has confirmed the U.S. actor's girlfriend, Kim Painter, is pregnant with their first child.

The couple have been together since 2007. Lowe, who is the younger brother of actor Rob Lowe, was previously married to double Oscar-winning actress Hilary Swank from 1997 to 2006.

"Kim Painter and Chad Lowe announced today that they are expecting a baby in early summer," Lowe's representative told Usmagazine.com Thursday. "The couple is overjoyed and could not be happier."

Lowe is best known for his roles on TV's "Life Goes On" and "24."
