LOS ANGELES, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- Sharon Osbourne says her daughter, Kelly, who was recently arrested for allegedly slapping a reporter, has checked into a U.S. rehabilitation facility.
The elder Osbourne declined to reveal what Kelly. 24, is being treated for; however, she did say the British singer is expected to stay at the facility for at least the next 30 days, Usmagazine.com said.
"Yeah, Kelly's in rehab," Sharon Osbourne told radaronline.com late Thursday. "What else can we say? She knew that it was the right thing to do at this point, and we're proud that she did it. The family is all standing behind her. Kelly knew that she needed help, and she's getting it. ... We just pray that everything's going to be okay."
Usmagazine.com said Kelly Osbourne also spent time in rehab in 2004 for an addiction to painkillers.
The daughter of rocker Ozzy Osbourne was arrested earlier this month in connection with an alleged altercation she had in a London nightclub with a reporter who wrote something derogatory about her fiance.
