ROME, Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Film icon Sophia Loren is to play her own mother, Romilda Villani, in a new two-part bio-picture for Italian television, Variety.com said.

Tentatively titled "My House is Full of Mirrors" and loosely based on a memoir by Loren's younger sister Maria Scicolone, the TV movie is expected to chronicle Loren's life from her impoverished childhood in Naples up to her 1961 Oscar win for her work in "Two Women."

The entertainment industry trade newspaper said the role of the actress in her younger years has not been cast yet.

Loren, 74, previously played both herself and her mother in the 1980 NBC TV movie, "Sophia Loren: Her Own Story." She will soon be seen on the big-screen in the musical "Nine."
