Stars line up for BET Inauguration special

NEW YORK, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Jamie Foxx, Nas, Kerry Washington, Akon, T.I. and Young Jeezy have signed on to appear on the "Yes We Will! BET's Inauguration Celebration" TV special.

The one-hour show is slated to air on BET Tuesday night, with Nick Cannon acting as host.

The special is intended to "commemorate the massive voter turnout and what African-Americans are committed to doing in order to implement the change initiated by Barack Obama's presidency," the network said in a news release.

The special is to feature performances by Common and Jazmine Sullivan, as well as live footage from BET's inaugural ball. It will also take a look back at the election and campaign that led the way to Obama becoming the first black president of the United States, BET said.
