NASHVILLE, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Jo Dee Messina's publicist told People magazine the country music star has given birth to a son in a Nashville-area hospital.

Born Monday afternoon, Noah Roger Deffenbaugh is the first child for Messina and her husband, Chris Deffenbaugh, who owns Deffenblaster Enterprises, which builds custom road cases and audio equipment.

Messina and Deffenbaugh married in October 2007.
