Will Smith nervous about daughter dating


LOS ANGELES, Jan. 16 (UPI) -- Hollywood actor Philip Seymour Hoffman has signed on to direct and star in a big-screen adaptation of Bob Glaudini's play, "Jack Goes Boating."
Variety.com said "Gone Baby Gone" actress Amy Ryan is set to co-star with Hoffman, while John Ortiz and Daphne Rubin-Vega will reprise their roles from the stage production of the New York-set romantic comedy.
The film will mark Hoffman's feature film directorial debut, the entertainment industry trade newspaper noted. The actor -- who is currently earning rave reviews and awards nominations for his performance in another stage-to-screen adaptation, "Doubt -- won a best actor Oscar for his work in "Capote."
