TORONTO, Jan. 14 (UPI) -- Howie Mandel's publicist says the comedian and TV personality has been released after spending a night in a Toronto hospital.

The 53-year-old host of "Deal Or No Deal" and "Howie Do It" was taken to the hospital Monday night reportedly after he fainted at his hotel.

The Toronto Globe and Mail said Mandel was released from the hospital Tuesday and was expected to return to shooting scenes for "Howie" Wednesday.

The comedian's representative, Lewis Kay, has denied Internet reports claiming Mandel suffered a heart attack. Kay has said Mandel stayed at the hospital so medical staff could monitor an irregular heartbeat.
