LONDON, Jan. 13 (UPI) -- The Irish rock band U2 has signed on to debut its single "Get on Your Boots" at the Brit Awards show in London next month, the BBC said.

The song is from the group's upcoming CD, "No Line on the Horizon," which is to be released in the spring. "Horizon" is U2's first album since its 2004 offering, "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb," which earned eight Grammy awards in the United States.

"Their addition to this year's show makes it possibly the best we have ever had," Brits committee Chairman Ged Doherty told the BBC.

Slated to take place at Earls Court Feb. 18, the event is to be broadcast live on ITV1.
