MALIBU, Calif., Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Pop singer Fergie has married actor Josh Duhamel in a wedding in Malibu, Calif., that featured thousands of white roses and magnolia trees, a friend says.

The unidentified friend of the couple said Duhamel's family was eager to have Saturday's wedding so they could welcome the "London Bridge" singer into their family, People magazine reported.

His family are so excited," the friend said. "They really love Fergie and are so happy to welcome her to the family."

The wedding between the 33-year-old Black Eyed Peas singer, whose real name is Stacy Ann Ferguson, and the 36-year-old actor, who appeared in the movie "Transformers," took place at Malibu's Church Estates Vineyards.

People said the wedding reception took place inside a tent with a ceiling coated with lights and made to appear like a forest.

Among the numerous celebrities on hand for Saturday's event were actresses Kate Hudson and Molly Sims, actor James Caan, rocker Slash and Fergie's fellow Black Eyed Peas members.
