Hannity confident with solo TV effort

NEW YORK, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Political pundit Sean Hannity, known best for the U.S. TV program "Hannity & Colmes," says he is confident regarding his upcoming solo TV show.

The 47-year-old conservative commentator noted his new self-titled Fox News Channel program is not his first foray into solo media work, The Hollywood Reporter said Friday.

"This is not new territory for me," Hannity said, referring to his prior solo work on "Hannity's America" and his weekly radio show. "But the format and the show itself will be entirely different."

In preparation for the premiere of his new program Monday, Hannity has already interviewed U.S. President George W. Bush and former Republican presidential candidate John McCain.

Hannity told the Reporter his loyal fans can expect in-depth interviews with such guests along with regular doses of his conservative opinions on the political world.

"This is an incredible time in our nation's history and as a fiscal and social conservative ... I won't be hesitant to share my views with my audience," said Hannity, who is wrapping up a 12-year stint with his more liberal foil, Alan Colmes.
