Stephanie March to return to 'SVU'

NEW YORK, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Stephanie March has signed on to reprise her role of Assistant District Attorney Alexandra Cabot on the U.S. series "Law and Order: SVU," NBC announced.

March is to return for six episodes, beginning Feb. 17, the network said.

"We're thrilled to have Stephanie back on 'SVU.' We've missed Alexandra Cabot and are anxious to see her commanding presence in the courtroom again," Executive Producer Neal Baer said in a statement.

"'SVU' is like an old flame. Every time I run into it I think, 'Hmmm... what if?' I look forward to spending some time working with a production that has always been so rewarding for me," March added.

The actress starred on "SVU" for four seasons from 2000 through 2003. She later returned as a guest star in the 2005 episode "Ghost" and also reprised her role as Cabot for the Wolf Films/NBC series "Conviction."
