'Dexter' co-stars marry in real life

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Michael C. Hall's publicist told E! News the actor has married Jennifer Carpenter, the actress who plays his character's sister on the TV drama "Dexter."

"They were married outdoors in Big Sur, Calif.," Hall's representative, Craig Bankey, told the entertainment news program.

The couple, who have been quietly dating for about 18 months, eloped on New Year's Eve and plan to make their first public appearance together as man and wife at the Golden Globe Awards ceremony in Los Angeles Sunday, E! said.

Their show has been nominated for several awards.
