SHREVEPORT, La., Jan. 6 (UPI) -- Prosecutors in Shreveport, La., are dropping all charges against actors Josh Brolin and Jeffrey Wright for their alleged part in a bar brawl, People.com said.
The actors were among a group of seven from the production of the George W. Bush movie "W" who were arrested on various misdemeanor charges last summer for their alleged roles in a fight at the Stray Cat Club during some downtime.
As long as the seven parties accept "district attorney's probation" and stay out of trouble, all the charges will be dismissed at the group's next court date March 11, Cindy Kemp, spokeswoman for the Shreveport City Court, told E! News.
"These arrests should never have happened," Wright said in a statement issued by his publicist to People.com. "Thankfully, the prosecution was able to see that and dismiss all charges. Unfortunately, there are no winners here, but I remain hopeful that Shreveport officials will be encouraged to dig at the root causes of certain police incidents down there. An old-fashioned refusal of service led to our arrest that night, and there's no room for that in America in 2009."
Brolin can now be seen in "Milk," and Wright in "Cadillac Records" and "Quantum of Solace."
