LAS VEGAS, Jan. 3 (UPI) -- U.S. pop singer Fergie says she has been focused on slimming and tightening her body through exercise in preparation for her upcoming wedding.
The "London Bridge" singer said on New Year's Eve that in anticipation of her Jan. 10 wedding to actor Josh Duhamel she has been on a stringent regimen of exercise, People magazine reported Thursday.
"It's hard. I've been working out every day," Fergie said at her Las Vegas concert Wednesday night.
The enhanced workout routines by the singer, whose real name is Stacy Ferguson, come after she purposefully gained weight for a role in the movie "Nine."
But Ferguson told People she has been actively attempting to lose that extra weight in order to look healthy in her wedding dress.
"A lot of hiking and doing a bunch of sit-ups, working my butt off and just, you know, try to maintain and stay healthy," the former Black Eyed Peas star said.
