LOS ANGELES, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- "Sesame Street" stars Elmo, Grover and Oscar the Grouch are to make guest appearances on an upcoming episode of the U.S. sit-com "Scrubs," ABC said Wednesday.

The Sesame Workshop's Muppets are to be seen in the Jan. 20 installment of the series.

In the episode, J.D. (played by Zach Braff) "learns the hard way that not even Elmo can teach the gift of compassion to those who don't care to learn," the network said.
