BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Dec. 21 (UPI) -- The families of U.S. actress Jessica Alba and her husband, Cash Warren, have finally gotten together to celebrate their wedding, party-goers say.

Unidentified guests to Friday's belated wedding reception at the couple's Beverly Hills, Calif., home said it marked the first time Alba's family had a chance to meet Warren's relatives, USmagazine.com reported Sunday.

The couple got married last summer.

One anonymous guest said the event was a happy time for all involved, particularly when the couple's fathers each took time to offer some kind words.

"There were no tears," the guest said, "just lots of happiness and love. It felt extremely special for everyone."

An unidentified source told USmagazine.com prior to the marital gathering that the "Sin City" actress was excited about the event, which was also attended by Alba and Warren's newborn daughter, Honor.

"Jessica is so excited," the source said. "This is such a happy time in their lives."
