Marsalis, Franklin to perform at jazz fest

NEW ORLEANS, Dec. 17 (UPI) -- Wynton Marsalis, Aretha Franklin, Dave Matthews Band and James Taylor have signed on to perform at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, organizers said.

Slated to run from April 24-26 and April 30-May 3, the festival is also expected to feature appearances by Joe Cocker, Sugarland, Solomon Burke, Drive-By Truckers, Tony Bennett,

Ben Harper and Relentless7, Earth, Wind & Fire, Kings of Leon, Neville Brothers, Wilco, Bonnie Raitt, Allen Toussaint, The O'Jays, Erykah Badu and Dr. John, the festival's Web site said.

Tickets can be bought through nojazzfest.com and ticketmaster.com, or by calling (800) 745-3000.
