Strathairn was nominated for an Oscar for his work in "Good Night, And Good Luck." He has also appeared in the films "Sneakers," "L.A. Confidential," "The Firm," "A Midsummer Night's Dream," "We are Marshall" and "The Spiderwick Chronicles."

The two actors are to join previously announced stars Nathan Lane and Bill Irwin in director Anthony Page's new staging of Samuel Beckett's play "Waiting for Godot."

Preview performances of the limited engagement are to begin April 10 at Studio 54. Opening night is slated for April 30, the theater company said.
